Awareness Program conducted for Health Department DDOs on TDS

The Department of State Taxes held a training program with the Health Department DDOs this November at Conference Hall of Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. The program was conducted with the intention of spreading awareness regarding Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) under Section 51 of the J&K SGST Act 2017. 

The awareness program was organized under the supervision of Kanchan Bala DC (IT, DA & EI) and Ritu Mahajan DC (Enforcement). The overall supervision of the program was done by Dr Rashmi Singh, Commissioner State Taxes. 

All DDOs of Health Department of Jammu district attended the training program and it was led by Director General Family Welfare, Immunization & MCH and Director Health Services Jammu Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman. 

In this meeting, the DDOs were enlightened about the financial aspect of TDS, and all the confusion that are created regarding TDS under Section 51 of J&K SGST of 2017 Act. The speakers of the program were State Taxes Officer Sachin Gupta, Anisa Nabi, Mavesh Ara and Naresh Koul. They discussed elaborately about the issues and misunderstandings that people face related to TDS. 

At the end of the program, Dr Parveen Yograj (Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu) thanked all the officers of the State Taxes Department and all DDOs of Health Department Jammu.
