More than 2.38 crore tax returns filed for 2020-21

Over 2.38 crores IT Returns have been filed for the financial year 2020-21 till now, the IT Department said this Tuesday. 1.68 crore of this amount have been processed so far, on the other hand refunds valuing 64 lakh cases have been issued.

"The Income Tax e-filing portal has received more than 2.38 crores IT Returns for AY 20-21, " tweeted the I-T Department.

It also requested the tax payers to file their returns for 2020-21 quickly on the e-filing portal.

The last date of filing ITR is 31 December for individual tax payers.
