Income Tax Raids Several Units of Khyber Business Group

Income Tax Department has raided several business units of the Khyber Group in areas of Srinagar and Gulmarg. The officials have seized documents and other materials related to the investigation. According to the reports of the media, the Income Tax officers along with the police have raided the residential house of Abdul Rouf Tramboo at Gogji Bagh. The accused is the son of Ghulam Ahmed Tramboo.  

The Income Tax department searched the Khyber business group which is owned by the Tramboos. The second team of officers from the Income Tax Department which was headed by the Deputy Director IT raided the office of (Khyber) owned by Rouf Tramboo at Hazuri Bagh.  

The third team of officers has raided the Khyber Himalayan Resort at Gulmarg, owned by the Tramboos. The department sealed all the entry and the exit points of the hotel during the investigation. As per the media reports, searches were conducted in the resort by the Income Tax sleuths.
