West Bengal secures investment of Rs. 4.40 Lakh Crore at Bengal Global Business Summit 2025

West Bengal emerged as one of the investment destinations with highest proposals at BGBS 2025 where it proposed Rs 4.40 lakh crores. "We have MoUs and Letters of Intent totalling 212 over the last two days on various sectors; these are historical for the state's future", said Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee.

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has vowed to bring another Rs. 50,000 crore in 2030 and has made investments in digital infrastructure, retail, and solar energy. JSW Group committed Rs.16,000 crore to a 1,600 MW power plant at Salboni. ONGC will position Bengal on the Indian petroleum map by initiating an exploration programme at Ashoknagar.

The BGBS 2025 made Bengal the global business hub, which had over 5,000 delegates and more than 200 foreign representatives from 40 countries. Amazon India signed a MoU with the government to enhance exports from the MSMEs of West Bengal. This will allow the local entrepreneur to reach the world.

The summit reveals the rising interest in West Bengal as an investment destination, promising great job prospects, sustainable growth, and bright economic futures.
