Jamshedpur GST Intelligence team raided Kolkata and arrested Shiv Kumar Deora in the GST scam worth crores.
GST Intelligence was looking for Shiv Kumar for several months. Jamshedpur GST Intelligence team was camping in Kolkata for the last three days to arrest Shiv. The Kolkata flat from where he was arrested was estimated to be worth Rs 4 crore.
The team took Shiv to Jamshedpur on Wednesday he was sent to jail after undergoing medical treatment at MGM Hospital.
According to the information, recently the police had arrested Jugsalai resident Vicky Bhalotia in the GST scam. Shiv Kumar’s name had come up in this case. In Jamshedpur alone, Shiv has committed a GST scam of Rs 130 crore.
During investigation this figure may go beyond Rs 500 crore. Shiv Kumar used to create more than 20 fake companies and conduct fraudulent transactions.
The investigation has revealed a bogus transaction of Rs 780 crore which can go up to Rs 2000 crore.
Apart from Jamshedpur, Shiv Kumar has also opened fake companies in other cities of the country including Hyderabad, Chennai, Vijayawada, Delhi and Mumbai.
Investigation revealed that Shiv Kumar used to keep the documents of women in the name of getting them jobs and used them to open a fake company. On receiving the information, GST Intelligence DG Rajeev Ranjan formed a team and then conducted continuous raids.
