Income Tax Calendar 2023: Taxpayers should Take Note of these Important Dates in November

We are less than two months away from this year to get over as we have already entered the second week of November. For taxpayers, it is important that they follow the Income Tax Calendar 2023 and stay updated about some of the income tax deadlines to avoid potential consequences. 
 

In this article, we have brought you important dates in November so that you do not miss the deadline for your financial tasks. It is always good to complete all your financial tasks ahead of the deadline to avoid penalties or any other monetary loss. 

Important Dates In November For Income Tax Payers  

November 7, 2023: According to the official website of the income tax department, November 7, 2023, is the due date for the deposit of Tax deducted/collected for the month of October 2023. However, all sum deducted/collected by an office of the government shall be paid to the credit of the Central Government on the same day when tax is paid without production of an Income-tax Challan. 

November 14, 2023: The due date for issue of TDS Certificate for tax deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S in the month of September 2023 November 15, 2023 Quarterly TDS certificate (in respect of tax deducted for payments other than salary) for the quarter ending September 30, 2023. Additionally, Form 24G needs to be furnished by the government offices where TDS/TCS for October 2023 has been paid without producing challan. Furthermore, this is also the due date for furnishing statement in Form No. 3BB by a stock exchange in respect of transactions in which client codes have been modified after registering in the system for the month of October 2023. 

 November 30, 2023: November 30 is the most important date for all the taxpayers. 

1. Due date for furnishing of challan-cum-statement in respect of tax deducted under sections 194-IA, 194-IB, 194M, and 194S in the month of October 2023,  

2. Due date to file income tax return for the assessment year 2023-24 under section 92E relating to international or specified domestic transactions, 

3. For companies that are eligible for weighted deduction under section 35(2AB), a copy of the audit of accounts needs to be submitted to the Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, 

4. A statement needs to be submitted as required under rules 5D, 5E, and 5F by Scientific research associations, colleges, universities, and Indian scientific research companies, 

5. The due date of furnishing of Return of Income in Form ITR-7 for the Assessment Year 2023-­24 in the case of assessees referred to in clause (a) of Explanation 2 to section 139(1).
