Under the joint initiative of Chaibasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries and West Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries, a seminar was organised at Chaibasa on Wednesday. The seminar was based on TDS provisions and faceless assessment. The seminar, organized with the support of the Income Tax department, was attended by around 150 traders.
The Additional Income Tax Commissioner, Jamshedpur, Binod Agrawal was the chief guest of the seminar. The other guests were Manish Kumar Jha, Additional Income Tax Commissioner, TDS, Ranchi range, and Sidharth Pandey, Income Tax Officer, TDS, Jamshedpur. The other members present in the seminar were Madhusudan Agrawal, president, Chaibasa Chamber, Rajkumar Ojha, president, West Singhbhum Chamber and Nitin Prakash, regional vice president of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FJCCI). The guests lit a ceremonial lamp in the seminar. Chief guest, Binod Agarwal said that a decision related to the demands of the traders could only be taken by the Government of India. Apart from that, Manish Kmar Jha spoke on the various provisions related to TDS. A PowerPoint presentation was also presented by Sidharth Pandey on this topic. Another PowerPoint presentation was given by Income Tax officer Satyendra Kumar on faceless assessment and other concerned topics. The programme was conducted by Sanjay Choubey, secretary of Chaibasa Chamber.
